Well, my bro is apparently this go-getter mid-level manager type and says he can take it from here, so I will try to get him to post updates but his wife smothers him and it's hard to get away to the computer...

Well, last week I called the GM and got his voicemail, left him my email and later that day he emailed me a letter he had just mailed out. He apologized for the mistake, but drew a line in the sand on my requests. In a nutshell, he is crediting the full $469 for the computer and sending a check for $500, the amount for the last two rentals. I am content with this resolution. Now, I have yet to see the check so this could not be over yet...

I sent it back in the box with the letter and disputed it on my credit card. In the letter I asked him not to dispute the $469 charge back, which he did not. So, essentially it was a $966 refund. Oh ya!
