Default Need ECU help!

Maroon 98 GT 150K
I have isolated my AC compressor clutch problem to the engine computer unit (ECU)

I have read the replacement has to have the exact same numbers on it as there were a few different ones during the year. Is this true and will any of them cross refrence?

These are all the numbers off it. I believe the: F65F-12B577-AA is what counts.

Any help on where to find one would be greatly appreciated.

Default Also

I pulled the ECU all the way out of the car and the bracket it mounts to has a part number sticker on it with F6ZF-12B581-AC. Not sure why the bracket has a differant number than the ECU itself. I have had the car since mile one so I know it has never been changed.

What procedures led you to come up with that diagnosis?? Are you sure there is enough freon in the system? Have you hooked up a hot and ground to the a/c compressor to see if the clutch will power up? What about the ccm relay located on the fan assy? what about the high/ low pressure switch?.Ive never had to replace a pcm (power control module) because the a/c clutch stopped working.. I know it is possible on mustangs, but there are also many other things that control the compressor clutch than the pcm...Just curious , Im not doubting your word..(pcm is what controls the a/c..)
