Question mid-pipe and inspection

Hi, i am planing on installing my newly "used" h pipe w/o cats. I don't know if most of you know, they do not use a sniffer where i get mine done, only a computer that plugs into the cars port and gives it a pass or fail. I know that w/o cats i will get an engine light. is there something i can do to make that not appear and thus not have to remove and install the old pipe every inspection?

yeah those would work but it is easier to just order the ones from mustangs unlimited part number mil02. and most states check and make sure you have cats even though they dont sniff. i live in georgia and they do a visual check if you dont have them you fail so youll need to get 2 cat cores and weld the casings to your h pipe so it looks like you have them i pass every time and thats how mine is done

Yea they look under my car to see if they're there. They especially will look when it's extra loud (and no cats will be). You can either get to know a guy that works at a shop as I did, or welding in a 'fake cat' would work just for a visual inspection. But just to get the check engine light to go off, you could pull the bulb.

I have the MIL eliminators on my car but they didn't work =\ I was getting the XCal3 tuner anyways and that took care of it

pulling the bulb wont do **** since they check thru the computer and it will still register even with no bulb

Ahhh that makes sense. Well if you know anyone with a handheld tuner, you could have them revert to stock tune. Let you borrow their tuner for a day when you go get it inspected and create a tune for a catless setup, then revert your car back to stock tune, and give the tuner back to your friend.

lower your car on sportlines without isolators..they probably wont bother looking lol
I live in GA and they've never looked under cars to look for cats at the places i've gone to
