Default idle jumping around

Most people say after you install a CAI the idle is smoother. After i installed mine (ebay btw) i notice the tach goes up and down maybe 4 MM. I noticed an increase in power though. Will this go away as it breaks in or the computer recognizes this or w/e?

unplug the battery for about 15 min.. then reconnect it.. problem should be fixed... my car did this when i installed the exhuast, i think the comp has to get use to how the new flow of air is so it will get use to it over alittle bit of driving, or just reset the computer by disconnecting the battery for like 15 minutes.

is your maf plugged on there good? if your maf isnt working right, it could make it idle weird.

mine moves slightly also.. not really noticeable... i think all the stangs do that? mine idles at about 550 and stays pretty close to 550. although in the mornin its at 900. i think it depends on the day and how the temps are and stuff for the way it idles. hoter days it seems smoother for some reason.

I am with Racer on this one. I know mine jumps a little sometimes, before and after I got my Ebay special CAI. If it's cold or in park it will idle a little higher, but usually I am at about 550 sitting at a stoplight. I don't think it's anything to worry about unless it won't idle at all or jumps really high.

The idle will dance a bit if you have a vacuum leak. Check your lines/hoses.

I read that sometimes the oil on the new cai filter may get on the maf resistors? Causing bad idling.
There are some places on the web on how to clean them.
