i want to lower my 99 gt convertible about 1.75-2.0 inches. what springs are best and what else should i get as far as correct tire wear and all that? caster camber plates?

i will also be getting some 18x9 saleen black rims if it makes a difference.

i recommend you, H&R SS springs, IMO they are better than sportlines, which also offer a good drop. if you don't plan on using your isolaters make sure you wrap both ends of all four springs with duct tape. cc plates will also be need along with some new shocks and struts.

that is all.

Sportlines are the only springs I would ever use. Good drop plus a good spring rate.

Here is a pic of my wifes 01 gt vert with sportlines.

isolators are the rubber thing the spring sits on, to prevent marring[metal-2-metal contact]. caster camber plates are neccesary if you lower more than 1.5. shocks and struts, aren't really needed but will get you a better comfort ride than the stock shocks.
isolators dont come with springs they're on you car already.

I never had to upgrade the cc plates on my wifes car. I used camber bolts to correct the alignment. Runs perfect.
