so are there any MILs that actually work? my last car i had i had MILs and they never worked

I hear they are hit and miss...

I've also seen pinched 02 wires in the harness towards the rear of the trans causing the same codes as havin an o/r h-pipe...

I have a set on my car that you hardwire in, and work fine unless they get soaked in water. I have 2 other sets layin around as backups and they seem to be alright on my friends cars

I bought the steeda ones from american muscle and i have never had a problem
