Will 285's fit on a 8inch rim?

Yes they will but dont do it....The will pull the sidewalls in and distort the tread of the tire. I worked for Discount Tire company in michigan when I was younger and it wasnt pretty some of the stuff we seen come in there. Another thing people did was stretch a 215/70/15 (narrow tire) on a 10" rim with whitewalls..hahahah

It would "fit" but the first time your took a turn in your car they're fall right off the rims. 275/45 is the max for an 8" rim.

Yea i worked at a tire shop too. They will fit but dont do it. It will look like an hour glass...
