Default Will a fresh bottom end go Bad??

So here it is... I just got a bottom end back from the machine shop. I know this is the 4.6 section but the motor is a 351W bored and stroked to a 408 but my question isn't a specific engine related question so it doesn't really matter what the engine is. We are building a race car but we won't have this motor completed for a while and was wondering if it is bad to have an assembled bottom end sit there and not be started for let's just say 8months?

I've heard that the oil and lube can drain out due to gravity and cause brand new seals to dry out and go bad, but I have no idea on the time frame it takes.

I have heard of that same thing.

-As far as 8 months that's a while, maybe should have waited to get it redone. My friend has his chevy 350 rebuilt and let it sit about 7-8 weeks with no problems.

I'd ask 1SLO85. He's running a similar Windsor setup and might be able to tell you better.
