Default PI Swap Question??

I have a 98' GT I wanted to do a PI swap now I know you can install a PI Intake Manifold on non PI heads with a great gain. Now for my question will you see alot more of a gain swapping the PI Heads and PI Intake vs just PI Manifold on the non PI heads?

umm you dont really gain much from throwing the pi manifold on.... besides the aluminum crossover.... you will gain about 50 with the full pi head, intake, and cam swap.. and maybe about 2 with just the intake swap

You two are both wrong. You gain most of the power from the manifold swap. For cost vs. money, just swapping the manifold on is the best route. If you're set on doing a whole PI swap I recommend (as well as almost everyone else who has done the swap) to just buy a whole PI engine. They can be found for as little as $500 with decent mileage, and with that you're not running higher compression so you can go FI later down the road and you're not stuck using premium for now. PI swap does yield great power, though. I gained 72 rwhp after mine with a tune.

if your doing just the manifold your only going to see more power from 70 mph and up but with the heads and the manifold its said to be a 40hp gain

i would say definitly get a whole pi engine on ebay, im half way through my swap, heads-800 from jegs, intake 180 from ebay, head changing kit 105 from ebay, and rite now on ebay there are engines going for 500-600, and 300 to ship, and its a drop in deal, just use your ignition and fuel supply systems
