04 GT rev limiter? Shift points?
( I Got a 99-04 predator programmer for modifying parameters)
Whats a safe rev limiter for a stock internals 04 gt 2v motor?
Im thinking around 6300 is that a safe enough rev limit?
Also with a stock 4r70w auto transmission.. Anybody mess with the shift points? If so whats a good 1-2 shiftpoint as well as the rest 2-3, 3-4.
Any info much appreciated.

Just upload the tune and call it a day. The tuner calibrates the shift points with the prexisting tune on the predator. You can awlays bump up a shift pressure to 35 PSI it will kick harder in between gears and WOT 180. Check it out if you like it leave it there if not just reset it back to the original.

aereon your info is so far from the truth you should be castrated. It takes about 4.5 seconds for me to hit my rev limiter at 6000 in drive when I force my 1-2 WOT shift 3 more mph over stock. Now to answer the question PROPER.
I'd keep your rev limiter @ 6200 imo, you can safely take it up to 6500. The 3-4 shift shouldn't matter unless you're heavily geared. You shouldn't have to worry about a 120+ mph shift point. I'd increase 1-2 and 2-3 WOT shift maybe 1-2 mph, any more and you're asking for fairly high rpm shifts at wot. Either way its a minimal difference.

I think about 6k~6.2k is good because the 4r70w has a tendency to shift you out of your powerband.
+1 on spinning it past 6300, you are only putting unnecessary strain on the engine and probablly slowing yourself down.

I guess everybody forgot that a stock 4.6 2v stops making power at 5250rpms. I set my wife limiter to 5500, maxed out the shift pressure and took out the torque modulators. With just a TB/Plenum, o/r h and the tune I created for her her car was running 9.1 in the 1/8th on street tires. We raised the limiter to 6200 and the car ran a 9.3.
