Default Cam Position Sensor

Is there a wrong way to install the CPS? Is there a write up? I did a search but came up empty handed. Thanks for the help.

No, it's dummy proof. Unbolt it, pull it out and install the new one, that simple.

That was easy enough. Went to Advance Auto where they cleared the code for the service engine light. Replaced the original battery terminals since the hood was up. It was a good day.

If you get that code again (which I bet you will in a few days) pull your altenator and have it checked ny autozone.

When you get the code syaing your cam sensor is bad 99% of the time its fine and the alt is bad. When the alt goes bad is causes magnetic interferance with the cam sensor.
