I'd stick with Ford Racing. If you get anything else and "IF" there's a drone, the installation shop could claim that it's the quality of gears and not their work.



There was a point when Motive made FMS gears and those did drone sometimes but that's not the case anymore.

just saw a set of ford racing gears on ebay with the complete install kit, except the axel bearings for 99.00. Do I need to replace the axel bearings? I plan on doing the install at my dads. HE has a lift and the know how, he has been building cars since he was 18.

If you're taking the time to do it, why not do it all but no, it's not absolutely necessary.

If you don't want to upgrade to 31 splines then at least rebuild your T-Loc. It adds up pretty quick. I'd weigh in on how you beat up the car for the extras.

I like to go fast and all but I dont really consider it beating on it. I dont jump on it at every red light, but do like to do it occasionally.

yeah you won't need all that. If you did beat on it at every stoplight your car would last like a year

Although Rare, one of my friends is 11.18's and in his third season with with his stock rearend with only gears.
