im looking to buy a 01-04 mustang gt.. cobra is a bit out of my price range.. and 6cyl isnt exactly the right amount of power... but yeah
for a mustang gt how much money and what ways would i have to put in or go to get it as fast/faster then a ls1/lt1?

 

For a couple of grand in mods (the basics, such as exhaust, mid-pipe, [maybe headers], CAI, pulleys, gears [4.10 preferred], etc.)
you will be running door-to-door with a LT1 (unless heavily modded).

An LS1 on the other hand, it will take a bit more (all-the-above and a 100-shot of the juice would prolly do it), unless of course he is heavily modded….

 

i dont no how much money ur working with but u can pick up gt's now for under 12 grand...if u can save up a lil money buy a superchanger and slicks. i saw where somebody made a post a stock gt with procharger ran 12.1 that would beat ls1's all day long unless again they are "heavily modded"

 

Don't the LT1's run the same as the 02' GT's and higher? I know the LS1's are faster than hell, but the LT1's are fair game...aren't they?
