Did you use the Cobra harness with the Cobra computer? you can't just use the computer to make the IMRC plates to work. There is wiring involved as well.

^Correct, that's why it's not normally the course of action for 4v swaps.

WOW you guys confused me and I've done the swap. Mike repeat after me IMRC Not what ever you keep typing
Just do the swap the easy way. Get a 4V with the wiring harness and ECM put motor in plug it into the fire wall pull out GT ECM put 4V ECM in and drive your car like you stole it.
And do the IMRC delete even if you have the 4V ECM.

Well its not terribly hard to use the GT harness/computer, but if you have the harness/ECU for the cobra available for cheap, I'd do that. I had to extend a couple wires but that was it, everything worked fine. The tune helps get every bit of power out of the car you can while being able to program the current GT computer anyway.

i think im just gonna look for a stock cobra computer..i dont really trust tunes unless some company has a good rep the closest one here where i live is THR and i dont trust them worth a dime, they couldnt tune my friends supercharged GT if God had a mustang and asked Brian to tune it! i saw one on ebay for $300 whats a fair price for a computer..how can i tell it should have a vin number on it right?
