Yeah, so i got my car looked at today and they said it was most likely the 2nd gear clutch mechinism. Its about a 1400 repair. He is gona call me on monday after he has some time to do some research to see if time there could be any other issues. In light of this... i'm prolly going to be doing the swap, seeing as the car is still drivable... just a really bad 2nd gear.

I went to my local salvage yard and they said $800 for a used t 45 and they didnt guarantee that it would have a clutch fork and shifter or wiring harness

Will a t-3650 work on our cars? I think the t-3650 is for cars with the digital gauge cluster. I know you can get those cheaper than the t-45's.

Yes, it can work with our cars. There is a converter that will convert the signal from the trans into what our guage reads... Its about $100. I found it is some other forum.

I think I saw that. I didnt know if it really works or not though. I also read that you can get a plug and plug off the digital speedometer gauge and there is one for the mechanical speedometer already in the transmission.
