2001 power window driver stuck down
Over the last 55 years or so that I have been old enough to have things that break, I have found that when one does break you can either do without, buy a new one, or fix the broken one by paying someone to do it--or by doing it yourself;
If you cannot afford to buy a new one, or pay someone else to fix it then you can do either do without, or attempt to fix the broken one yourself;
Once you have reached that point of resolve that you cannot afford to buy a new one or pay someone to fix it, there's nothing to lose by having a go at it--I mean it's broken already, right? How can you make it worse...
In the end whether you fix it or not you will have learned something useful--sometimes you have learned how to fix one of these things, and sometimes the lesson is that next time you should buy a new one, or pay someone who knows what they are doing, right up font...

OMG!! You just saved me $300! Drive window has been stuck down for 3 days. I stopped at all the freaking repair shops today, and was given some stupid advice about a spring that could cut your finger off... blah blah blah... Since my husband works nights, I really needed the window up NOW. I grabbed the biggest wrench from the shed, whacked the motor. Boom! Window up! Thank you all so very much!!!
