STILL WON'T START
Well I don't know if anyone will remember but about a week ago i had a thread about how it is the first start after my head swap and it won't start. Today i pulled the timing cover off because while trying to start i had a very small intake tube backfire so people suggested timing. come to find out timing is dead on. I bought new tensioners because i thought mine were bad so i will be resetting timing anyway with the new tensioners. where do i look now??

Hm...
I dont remember if you covered this before but do you have fuel pressure? Injector pulse? And did you swap to COPs or do you still have the 2 coils with wires? Do you have spark? Also, when you are cranking it, does the THEFT light flash

the cams were put on the right head, because you are right, it matters what side they go on. i have fuel pressure, i am still running coil packs, didn't look at the theft light but am pretty sure it was solid while cranking, i've got spark, the only thing i'm not sure on is the injector pulse. what is that light called that checks that? i can't think of it off the top of my head

Is the MAF calibrated to the injectors? Theres nothing in the way of the intake tube correct? Also, if you have cats, they could be clogged. Try unbolting the h-pipe from the headers an inch or two and see if it'll breathe. It almost sounds like the engine isnt breathing.

have you tried taking the serpantine belt off. Sometimes the alt will put out a freq. that affects the crank and cam signal to the pcm and cuase the car not to start. give that a shot and see what happens.
