My pypes o/r x use to scrape everything too, at stock height.

What I did was loosen all the bolts (manifold and catback connections), and used a floor jack to jack the center section up more, then tightened the !@#$% out of it, and released the jack.

You can get it up there pretty high, just be sure not to catch anything and break it.

I have a pypes x-pipe with slp exhaust and never hit anything untill I lowered my car. Now the threaded bottoms of the c-clamps hit the ground but only when I go in and out of driveways or garages. Never driving on the road.

Cool maybe Ill try that floor jack idea!

The only thing is that when I looked underneath the car it didnt look like the midpipe could go very much higher due to its design. The bends just are not in the right places...

But I just got my car back from Local performance shop after having stage 2 heads and cams and JBA shorty headers installed, and I mentioned the midpipe hanging low to the guy. I think he tucked it up a little bit when he bolted the exhaust to the headers. Ill have to see if my midpipe still scraps...
Thanks,
Mike

I believe there is an exhaust hanger kit from latemodel.... I also scrape on damn near everything. Does anyone have any experience with this hanger kit? I am getting a new mid-pipe and am more than willing to try this out if it saves my pipes.

You think you guys have problems, check this crap out

My friend and I built these headers for the 5.4 swap. Our first adventure in the header building category and they turned out really nice but we definitely didn't get them tucked under the car enough. At the collector I'm looking at about 3" from the ground....
