Default Electronic Transmission Diagnostic?

Hey everyone.

I am mostly an early model guy and I'm just getting into the later model stuff.

On my fathers 02 GT with a 5-speed, the throwout bearing started hissing and the clutch just started making noise, at the same time, my check engine light came on. Is there any sensors in the trans that could throw a check engine code?

The throwout bearing is hissing for sure, and when I depress the clutch pedal it sounds as though this is some contact with something cuaseing a very very slight sound of scraping.
Anyone else had this problem? I thought it could be the cold weather but the car has seen winter before.

Thanks everyone.

Thanks buddy.

I went to autozone, hooked it up to the OBDII, showed i was either low on antifreeze or i had a faulty thermostat. So i ended up being low on fluid so I filled it and the light was still on but im just gonna wait a few more starts. But anyway, after that, I took it to ford, and now im just waiting to see what they have to say about the whirling sound when the clutch pedal is depressed.

I really hope its nothing big becuase I am supposed to run little talledega on sunday.

Thanks for your help.

Throwout bearring is fried.

Just slap a new clutch in.Not much more than a day in the driveway with common hand tools.
