Default how do i get the e-brake spring back on?

i had to replace my rear caliper and i took off the coiled spring on that keeps tension against the e-brake cable and for the life of me i can get it back on. i get it close and it just flys off. hit me in the head once that thing hurts. is there a tool or special way to get it to go on there. i ran out of ideas??

I used pliers for mine..........im not saying that, that is the best choice, but it was the only thing i had that would work. ust clamp down on the spring twist it and put the cable in place
