Default PROBE PISTONS-FEEDBACK FROM EXPERIENCE PLEASE

I am planning on an NA build with Probes. Are they up to the task for what I am doing? NA, Hitech stage 2 cams, maybe 11.x:1 compression and some better head w/dreaded headers.
Man it has to be LT's? Anyways Probe info please. Mark

Probe is a pretty reputable company but it's the material it's made out of you'll need to research on. I can't remember exacts but it makes a big difference.

I went with Arias myself...

Probe is a pretty well known and reputable company. I ran their pistons in my 2V stroker around 11:1 compression and threw a 150 shot on top of it and they did great!

THX. I guess one guy had a bad experience and told me I should sell them and get something else he felt so strongly that they were no good. I am just building a NA motor so a lot is not going to be thrown at them nor expected from them either. I would hate to s ell them at this point. Using them and MMR rods. Teksid crank turned .010" but having trouble finding the proper Federal mogul bearings. Need mains for an aluminum block and just regular rod bearings as I believe the rods are the same, 2V and 4V, correct? HP series .25mm under, rods and mains.
I already have Hitech stage 2 cams, compression will be anywhere from 10.3 to 11.5:1. Depends on the heads and how much the shop takes off the block. I imagine at least .003-.004" off the block to be sure it is square. The head cc will make the biggest difference. Hitech has heads for $1295. with 48cc chambers and of course the TFS will come ion 38cc and 44cc. I will need headers also and I hate the idea. Anyone ever install a motor with LT's attached? Guess I should have this info ion my Teksid build thread. THX again.

Same alloy, 2618 or 2816 so I am baffled really as the Probes can be set at .002".

I meant when choosing a piston, I didn't realize he already had them. I agree that they are definitely quality pieces though I don't think he'll have any complaints with them

Mmr is a company so they will still sell you anything but i believe in one of there posts they said the probes were only good up to about 500 horsepower.
