There's more to it then you think. We need an expert in here. From what I understand you'll need to swap the tranny (T-56 6-speed comes stock with 03-04 Cobra), motor mounts, wiring harness, driveshaft, and I'm sure there is more I'm leaving out. Not a hard swap speaking in terms of completely changing the the power plant in the vehicle, but finding a decent priced terminator motor/tranny is pretty tough. For the price and the headache I would look at build longblocks from reputable companies like MMR and Haney (their sponsor links are in the forum lobby) and throw on your blower of choice. You will have a brand new fully built blown motor for about the same price with less hassle and more power than you would if you went with a Terminator motor.

It's all about what you want.

computer swap is not required. I just traded my bike for a 02 gt with 4v swap with a 2v computer. The car was not tuned when i got it. The motor is a 99 block, forged crank, h-beam rods, manley forged pistons, 8.5:1 comp., 04 heads, 24lbs. injectors, 99 cobra intake 99 accessories and moroso pan. Car made 250 hp and 260 torque on a mustang dyno. Guessing the low numbers due to the low compression. The previous owner was doing a turbo build. I`m assuming he ran out of money and went with nitrous. Has a direct port NOS kit. The fuel system hasn`t been upgraded and the pump was at 80% while on the dyno so i havent sprayed it. I have a 99 4v computer and thought i was going to have to re-pin it to fix. Well after asking around and talking to some local tuners i was told that the 02 computer is a good processor and the change was not needed. So i brought the car to a local shop called Total Performance Solutions.....((TPS)). Bought a SCT X3 from them and had their tuner Wes do his magic. Car runs great. Very happy with the tune and even more with the customer service. So if anyone near the Ascension Parish area in Louisiana needs some work look up Benjy (owner) at TPS. Car has upr k-member kit with coil overs, control arms and bumpsteer. eibach rear springs, double adjust. uppers, upr lowers, sperical bushing 4:10s with upr cover, aluminum drive shaft, Built T-56 with a spec stage two clutch, fidanza flywheel. saleen bodykit with 18" saleen style wheels.

did it to my 2000 gt after blowing the motor. you will need to reverse polarity to the COPs if you use the 2v wiring harness, a different throttle cable and cruise control cable, you can use your stock trans, (i wouldnt upgrade to the 6 speed unless you plan on doing forced induction) the gear ratio for 1st gear wont climb the rpms up fast enough with an n/a motor as good as a 5 speed. also different radiator hoses. other than that it is a straight up swap. you can drive it without a tune but will want to get it tuned as soon as you can. also when driving it before the tune you will not want to get on it at all because the spark curve is different but the computer can correct it enough for normal driving.
