Dont use wd40 on the damn thing....
Get some 2+2 (carb cleaner/gum cutter whatever) and just go to town on the thing... spray inside the 2 holes and let it soak, pour it out and rise real good. Then let it dry or blow it out with an air nozzle.
Why are you cleaning it?

well, my idle has been inconsistant where when the a/c is on it jumps from 750ish to about 900 rpms and back down every 15-20 seconds w/o fail AND when im just standing still my rpms jump to betwen 1500 and 2000 rpms and i have to rev my engine to bring it back down and i thought that cleaning the valve would help but after i cleaned it its worse now i cleaned it before i got a reply and used liquid rench and its even worse than before HELP PLEASE!!!

yea, it could also be various other things lol idk i tried the valve and all it did was make matters worse now my rpms jump to 1500-2k almost all the time. when im stopped, and even when im driving any1 else have any ideas?

if it stays at 1500-2000rpm when are stopped and have it in neutral, but only comes down when you blip the throttle a bit. It is most likely your Throttle Position Sensor. Another symptom of that device is when your shifting the car (if manual) if the rpms dont drop quickly or tends to hang where they were when starting your shift. just something to think about and take notice of next time you take it out.
