Because when you do things like make turns, your inside wheel is rotating at the same speed as your outside. Your chirping tires, and a lot of people say it gets a bit hoppy.

Are you serious...when you make a turn in a diff car your inside wheel turns slower then the outside wheel, the diff allows this to happen, by unlocking, and letting the wheels spin at different speeds, with a spool...turning, and handle are very compromised because the above can't happen. There really isnt any point to a spool on a street car. Unless its a 7 sec street car...
