Default Transmission Issue

First off, I'm not a tech guy at all.

So when I hit 50 mph my auto trans gives a grinding sound and a little hesitation. It doesn't happen all the time, but it only happend around 50 mph.

Anyone know what the problem is?

Thanks

The noise is when I'm accelerating.

Is the car shifting and makin a noise, or is it in OD? Sounds like some noisey planetary gears, or maybe a converter problem. The converter might not be locking, or locking abruptly
