Shoot, that sounds exactly like what you were lookin' for.

I won't pretend to know why you're looking for 600hp specifically, but it's going to be quite a challenge. I'd like 500hp, but I really like the Mongoose kit's reliability. I'll probably take that route in the future, then modifying that once I get comfortable.

Keep lookin, man. But if you haven't already done so, I'd take a serious look at JivePepper's post, and just how much it's going to cost you. Outside of the horsepower, the suspension and brakes are going to nibble away at your wallet too.

Good luck.

With a 429 cu inch race engine not a modular motor. I still doubt it and even then, it would also drive like poo on the street.

It would have to be incredibly high compression, wouldn't make power until you twisted the **** out of it, and would idle terribly.

It would also have to run on alcohol etc etc etc. Like I said I still think it's doubtful.

The kinda clutch your going to need to hold 600hp at the track will make it a bitch to drive in traffic and if you are going to drive this thing where you could possibly get caught in traffic u will need an upgraded cooling system. If you are going to drive this car on the street I would go turbo since you said money wasn't an option. To make a modular motor handle the boost your going to be blowing through it to make 600hp you are going to need forged internals and a better block unless your goal is to see how many rods you can send through the block. You keep saying you have seen it done before i would like to see this car with stock cubic inches and stock block and internals making 600hp. I am not an expert on these cars and I am only 16 but i have grew up bracket racing and working on my dads super pro dragster so i am not completely clueless on what it will take to handle 600hp.

I hope by saying you want to use the stock block, you dont mean stock crank/rods/piston, because NO you cant make that power on a stock shortblock.

+1 I think the block can handle that power but not the stock rotating assembly.

Same as my basic set up except I'm still running the s-trim and stoke bore and stroke. Since you not mentioning support mods leave out the KB Bap.
