Default ??'s on svt fuel pump and injectors...

Hey guys:

I'm installing a vortech supercharger. Since my car is a daily driver, I'm trying to tackle little jobs when I can, before the final install.

Can I install the upgraded SVT fuel pump and 42lb injectors this weekend, then drive the car all week? They finish the supercharger install the following weekend?

Will there be problems with upgrading the fuel components, without a tune or telling the computer?

No. you'd have to tune your car for the larger injectors or it wont run.

The MAF has to be in tune with the injectors. Stock MAF + 42s would not be too good.

+1 just install ur pump and do the injectors with the blower install. Trust me the injectors will not take you more than 20 minutes to do.

dont try it. it will run but you will basically be dumping fuel which can wash out your cylinder walls and damage your engine so dont try it.

So much of what people say is stupid.....

Don't waist your time with a focus pump if that's the one you're referring to. Get dual Cobra pumps and if you're going past about 12lbs of boost get a BAP. Also, rewire your fuel pump with a relay for a full 14v's.

Also just buy a 90mm maf and forget about it until you get to 600hp. I also wouldn't waist your time with 42# injectors. Just get 60's and be done with it. Example, My tuner sent me a base tune to drive my car to him and forgot I was using 60's and the car would idle "at all".

You have to have a tune, end of story.

Anyone who says something without thinking. No one specific.
