Hi,

do any of you guys know anything about

get an sct or diablo or sniper...dont go cheap unless its a CAI then it doesnt really matter cuz it wont give you any hp anyways

yea i thought mine was ****ed up ( see other thread in all caps) but luckily it wasnt...i like the way it operates and its pretty straight forward

This "trick" has been around since dirt was invented, or at least since EFI engine controls. Google "mustang resistor trick" and you'll get 60k hits.

They are the same thing, and despite the image of a 16-pin DIP IC they are both resistors (one apparently a potentiometer) that are placed in series with the IAT sensor to make the computer think the intake air is colder than it really is.

This makes the PCM inject more fuel to get a richer mix. On our cars, with the stock tune, this would really screw things up at WOT as they tend to run rich anyway--at 11.0:1 to 11.5:1, even dipping in to high 10:1s once in a while.

Beyond this automakers have been in war with one another for HP claims, and with the EPA for fuel economy, for the last 20 years--if there was something they could do that would improve both and cost 39¢ don't you think they would have done it?
