Default cams install help

i have a 2002 gt i will be installing a pair of hitech stage II cams in my car. i have searched all over forums and cant find the answers to some of my questions...

what is any tools i need to purchase before install? (like some tool to hold the timing chain in while the cams come out)

i have a 2002 so does that mean i do not have to buy new cam gears? also are mine press on?

are there any other parts i should replace while the timing chain cover is off?

can anyone give me a list of parts i need for the install other than the cams itself?

last question is to do i need to buy this: http://www.autobarn.net/xxxw-otc6498.html

any helpful information is appreciated..thanks

The 2002 should not have the pressed on cam gear, so you shouldn't need a new set of cam gears.

There is something called an Anderson Cam tool. Which makes the job alot easier, its about 50 bucks IIRC and with it you don't need to remove the timing cover.

Another tool that helps but is also not necessary is the valve spring compressor tool. It actually uses the cam as leverage so you can install the lash adjusters after you have installed the cam.

But in reality you don't really need any special tools, But it takes more work/time.

You also may end up needing some misc gaskets depending on their condition.
