Auto Transmissions
Noob questions, but work with me and my slow brain this morning
What Auto transmissions come in the mustang?
Why is the C4 the most popular?
What about the 4R70W?
How costly are they to build yourself?
Can the trans hold 500-600rwhp easily?
What fails first with the auto?

1. 4R70W
2. Its the cheapest
3. What about it?
4. Not very, here is a site to look at http://www.tccoa.com/articles/tranny...on/index.shtml
5. After you build it.
6. My torque converter starts to slip at 330 RWHP. This is a vague question. Its like asking " what part of your engine fails first?" Everyone has different problems.
Hope that helps

You realize you could find these answers on google in like 2 seconds...
the 4r100 is the lightning trans...its stronger, the 100 is for 1000 ft lb
the 4r70 is rated at 700 ft lb
Stock 4r70w is a pretty strong transmission, with small modifications they are supposed to handle 5-600 hp....But eventually it will break and you can get it built to handle the power.

Just trying to advance our people, you know, make them self-dependable?
Oh, and your torque converter is technically always slipping unless its locked up which generally occurs in 3rd or 4th gear while cruising.
Maybe you should head over to google and find out how a TC works before you answer any more questions cause that answer is pretty misleading and doesnt really make sense.
There is such a thing is the TC ballooning which you may actually be feeling...but 330 rwhp doesnt sound like enough to cause this
