I would love to do LT, but living in CA means that I won't pass smog, and I am NOT taking off headers every other year to do it. Even Mid-lengths are illegal here. Shorties are my only choice, but not gonna do em until I get s/c'd

Wow. Thanks for the replies everyone. I think I'm going to save up for a bit and then go for some nice LTs, should I get the fancy ones with the ceramic coating and whatnot or just stick with chrome, or stainless? Also how many hours of labor should I be looking at? Unfortunately I don't have a lift so I have to get these things professionally installed and don't want to get screwed.

If you're spending the money on the headers, you should go with the ceramic coated ones for lower temps in your engine bay. It'll save you some hp. It's ~7 hour job. Shops around my area were charging about $600. It's not an easy job cuz our Modular motors are pretty tight and it's hard to get in there.

Alright, instead of making a new thread i'll just ask my question here. Would I be able to make my prochamber work with LT's? Its the 3 piece one. Couldn't I install the headers and have a muffler shop weld up some pipe to connect the headers to the prochamber where the original legs bolted to?
