mainly a balance of the two
i drive in stright lines more than any twisties but when taking a corner i dont want a lot of body roll when on on ramps, or the little turns i do take.
Would there be a big difference in the handling if i went more for drag vise versa

yes there would be a difference in handling going drag over road racing. however you can get the best of both worlds. you can get an adjustable shock/strut package for that. but whenever you use stiff springs like the h&r race springs you will lose a little straight line traction/launch capability. its all give and take

so drag would be more inclined to get softer springs?
im sure ide be happy with any springs over the stock ones. lowering the center of gravity and getting some sway bars to stiffen up with some drag springs i think might do the trick as long as im lower.

didnt have this problem with the celica seeing as how it didnt make any tq. heh.

look into something that will be a cheap compromise such as FRPP c-springs. They will drop the car a little and get rid of the 4x4 look while still being a decent drag spring. As others have stated, get the full length subframe connectors, new shocks/struts would also be of help.

appropriately sized sway bars.

If you just want to handle a little better:
Get some H&R race springs and some full length subframe connectors thats only about 350 bucks and you will take turns a lot better.

One of the best things I did for my car autocross wise was the addition of my cobra rims. the extra inch all the way around improved my in corner/out of corner traction a lot more than I expected.
what do you mean by appropriately sized? do they come in different sizes and such?

Just buy a Max Grip Box kit from Maximum Motorsports. It has every conceivable part you'll want to make your car handle like a go-kart. And you only have to do it once.

You can only really go one way or another

Unless you go to the track a lot why not just set it up to turn better?

You will have a little less traction off the line but with a decent tire it really shouldnt be a problem anyway.

Hr Race springs bilstein struts and shocks all around will make a huge differance.

sway bars and subframes will definately stiffen it up a bit

Yup, you need to get the correct size per other suspension mods on the car. front and rear sizes differ also lol.
