Take jumper cables and attach them to the battery then quickly hit the unconnected ends together (looking for the arc), if no sparks then your battery is bad. Quick and easy way to find out

What does doing that have to do with the condition of the battery... If it has any voltage it should arc. Whether it be 12.5 or 7.5.. I dont see that as bein valid test. Anyway, I still believe the OP has a weak battery and/or dying alternator. Replace battery and start from there.

I had the same issues he was having and didn't know if it was my battery or alternator. I didn't want to take my alternator out if it wasn't bad. I hooked my cables to my battery and touched the ends together and didn't get any spark. Even though my battery indicator still read green it was dead. It was a quick and easy test to see if my battery was dead.

I wouldn't replace the battery if it isn't dead but that's just me.

Just because a battery is reading voltage, doesnt mean it isnt bad. Theres more to a "bad battery" than slow cranking or stone dead. I see batteries all the time have plenty of voltage, but ~105CCAs... And still start a car..

Either way it doesn't seem like the guy has a major problem. When that happened to me I was ready to freak. Luckily it cost me less than a hundred and about an hour out of my time.

At least the guy was in his own driveway when it happened to him. Good luck to getting your car on the road again.
