Default a/c problem

allthough its low 40's right now in florida, i need to fix my a/c. The clucth is burnt out.You crank on the a/c and the clutch dosent spin, just sits there. Ive checked all switches and freon is good. My question is, would it be best to replace the whole compressor? Or could i get away with maybe just a new clucth? new clutch hub??Which ever is the BEST route, i'll take.

haha, I doubt he'll go for that

If th compressor is good, you can just replace the clutch and coil. It can be done in-car, but its sorta a PIA. Anyway, buy a new clutch and coil, and replace em. The coil is sorta pressed on, so be careful getting that on and off, also...make sure you use the original shim so you know the clutch is spaced close
