Default MAF sensor problem

So i was driving down the street and my air filter ends up being run over by my front tire >:/
(i have a anderson boost pipe filter sits right in front of passenger front tire) anyways as i look i notice the maf sensor module is broken but the housing is ok my car sputters and dies i disconnect the the maf and drive back home in 2nd gear (i know i shouldnt of but i was less than a mile away from home) Now my question is....my mustang is 2002, It is a stock 80mm maf i just had my car dynotuned i run 39lb injectors if i find a 02-04 stock maf off another car will the car be ok? or is there additional things i will need to do?

you should be fine to just replace the maf with another stock unit.

I have a stock 01 GT MAF sensor. Let me know if you are interested. I don't know if an 02-04 MAF will work because the IAT is integrated into it. 99-01 are all the same.
