Thats the point of the tool, to push the piston back in. Its the same as doin a rear brake job. You have to get it twisted and pushed and the same time. Doesnt matter if its 1/4" or 2", you still have to push it in the same way.. And those little cubes SUCK

+1 to the cubes sucking, the caliper removal tool form Autozone is a beter kit, and all you have to do is rent it for the time you need it, then take it back.

how much is it to rent

dennis_112 02-10-2009 02:07 PM

like $30

1999 GT 02-10-2009 02:14 PM

ok, thanks

why rent the caliper removal kit when u can get the cube thing for alot cheaper and u will never have to worry about not having the right tool again. whatever just me, everybody has their own style of getting stuff done.

i kinda agree, if the cube gets the job done, then thats what im gonna get. i cant really afford to waste an extra 20 bucks. i'm tight on cash right now...

because after you bust the sh*t out of your nuckels youll be wishing you got the other one....i thought "ill just buy the cube thing and save my money" that before i lost the skin on one hand and then threw the p.o.s. cube in the woods!!!

1999 GT 02-10-2009 04:31 PM

lol on second thoughts, you convinced me....how the hell does that cube even work..how do you use the stupid thing lol? im lookin at a pic of it and i cant picture how you use the fn thing

the cube has raised points different distances apart for the different calipers, then you put a socket and extension through the center hole and twist till the calipers is seated home
