I always heard that Penzoil could be some funky stuff...Never had a problem using it however. I read somewhere that a guy tore down his motor after nothing but penzoil and found a pink residue on everything.... wax??

We use Penzoil in everything at the shop where I work. We do oil changes on a guys GMC Sierra ever since it was knew. He now has 300K on the van and we just did intake gaskets on the van and everything was incredibly clean and looked like a vehicle that only had 20K miles on it. I love Penzoil and have never had any problems with it.

I think I am going to check inside the oil cap, the oil has been changed every 3,000 miles do you think I should just do a synthetic for like 1000 miles and just changed it at 1k and then switch to synthetic after i do the first synthetic changed that should clean it out shouldent it, does anyone kno of a synthetic oil that isent to high of a detergent?

I always ran Castrol in all my old Muscle and never have any problems. Always looked great and performed even better.

When I got this car I switched to synthetic Mobil1 and it hasn't let me down either.
