Default Fox mufflers

Hey I can pick up a set of flowmaster 40 mufflers for $50. But he says they are for a fox mustang. (one end is centered the other is on the side I believe).

Would it be much work to adapt them to fit in place of my stock mufflers? I know a guy who is a welder, but without a lift the work might be kinda tricky.

I also bought a set of stock tips (mine are looking ****ty) off a guy still connected to the pipe up until where the mufflers were. So this might make it easier to adapt the pipe.

you might be able to make them work. for our cars they should be offset on both sides. if the inlet/outlet size is 2.25" then you can probably make them work

I havent seen the condition yet. If they are rusty does it affect the performance or life of them a lot? What if I just covered them in some rust paint before I install them?

You will need some custom piping, so in the end you are going to save yourself next to nothing.

You can buy properly offset Flowmasters to fit your car from E-bay for relatively cheap. I think I paid $120 from E-bay for my Super 40's to replace my Magnaflow catback.
