header install on a 03 gt

Default header install on a 03 gt

hey guys i am going to install headers tomarrow. whats the fastest way to go about it. im going to do it in the driveway so any ideals and input would be great. thanks guys

there is really no "easy" way to install them. you either have to jack up the motor or drop the k member. your skills/mechanical knowledge and tools will decide which way to go about it. if you're not sure about either, i suggest you get them installed by a shop. but if you can do it, save yourself the money and do it yourself. just make sure you take your time

i dropped the k member it was the easiest way to do them specially it you snap a bolt or stud do yourself a favor just drop the k

it will probably take you at least two days to do it, so dont plan on driving it the same night unless ur superman...id drop the k member, a guy i no did LT's on his 02 gt and didnt drop or do anything...it took him a whole weekend and alot of beers he said....so id try to free up some space

yeah i've heard of this taking up to 16 hours even by people who know what theyre doing. you kinda need to remove the steering rack, k member and all that stuff from what i've seen

glad to see its not just us S197 guys that have it rough. took me 12 hours to do mine on the 06, but that counted pulling the passenger side twice to correct some fitment issues.
