alright so i have heard all yall complain about the dealers well im finally part of yalls cult. i went yesterday to see about replacing the middle brake light lens on my stang because it cracked somehow dont ask me how dont know. Well i was expecting a lens to cost like 10 or 20 bucks at most i just needed the plastic piece he starts to ring it up and was like its gonna be 85bucks and i was likes thats bull**** and just left. so yea dealers=evil

 

I never suggest going to the dealer to anyone for parts because they mark things up to make a profit....Was there a junkyard in the area where you could take the lens off to replace yours?....my suggestion take back the part, get back your money and either go to the junkyard or order it from 50resto.com or another mustang site....I would also ask around and see if there are any mustang shops that could get it for you cheaper....a lens off of a wrecked similar car to yours should only be about $10-$20 and nothing more

or you could buy one of those 3rd brake light covers that make it say something like MUSTANG when you hit the brakes. That would cover up the crack and also save you money since those things are like 5 bucks.

 

i know how u feel bro i had my throwout bearing replaced under warranty took them 3 days and i got my car back yesterday and the tranny is macking this knocking noise in 5th and when i fire it up so im gonna go back monday and bitch at them some more lol
