My problem is a lockout problem with 5th gear. Sometimes when I put the shifter in 5th, it kicks it back out as soon as I let off the clutch. It seems to be locked out. I'll push in the clutch and try again. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. I'm only having this problem with 5th gear and it happens about 50% of the time. Once it goes in 5th gear, it's fine and doesn't come back out again. Any ideas?

your sychros are gone. time for a rebuild or a new tranny. or just tolerate the problem until it completely goes.
