you can take all the hydrolics and motors out of the vert top... just pull it up manually like a vette.
my brother in law (P.O.S) did that.. (not for weight reduction... just to have an excuse not to fix it)

I've never been been in a convertible vette? Are they really manual tops?

yep.. you haveta pull up that little tonneu cover and pull the top up by hand..

i was like WTF... WHATS THE STICKER PRICE ON THIS!?!?!
