Air Filter Need Help ASAP
oh crap so heres what happened I was changing my air filter today to a KN and I noticed the rubber piece on the end of my old filter fell off (piece of **** fram). So for the last who knows how long it's been open at the end sucking in who knows what. There was a wrapper and **** in the MAF screen. What damage could this have caused and what can I do to clean out what gunk might have been sucked in.

Best you could probly do is just pull the intake apart and clean that. MAF, tubbing from MAF to TB, Trottle Body, Plenum. This way you have a better ideal how long its the filter has been torn and cleans up anything else dirt that is still in the intake.

im not sure what damage this could cause, but if you havent noticed any difference in how your car is running i would not worry about it to much. just clean the intake and maybe the other thing you can do is change the oil.

yeh I noticed a diff but thats cause the damn wrapper was blocking my air flow. I can't believe I didn't notice it before I check my airfilter not that long ago and it was fine.
