Default Project "Mary" underway....help me out a bit guys!

Hey guys im in the process now of taking apart my engine and putting together the new sb with H/C. I would really appreciate it if anyone could help me out as i go since i will have some questions sometimes. Im doing this all by myself so bear with me. Ok, first question i have is how do u exactly disconnect the wiring harness from the ecu? I see a couple big connectors by the firewall at the passenger side but im just not sure if thats it or not. The other thing is that im not sure how to disconnect the k-member with the engine on it from the body. I saw a couple big bolts by the front springs but again not sure. Do i just take the front shocks off and let them hang from the tower?

Thanks a lot for any help guys. As off now i have the manifold off and its gonna be shipped out for warranty work, i got most of the wire harness off, and a bunch of other stuff. Pretty much i just have to disconnect the rest of the harness and start taking the engine/tranny out. I will have pics up once i got te new shortblock up on the stand.

Yes the ecu is the square harness with a bolt in the middle on the passenger fire wall. You will also have to disconnect the fuel lines with the spring releasing tool. Why don't you just rent a cherry picker and pull it out the top?

oh ok cool. As far as the fuel lines go, i have both rails together but off to the side, do i still have to take the line off? Are u talking about the connection at the round "thingy"? i was gonna get it out from the top by i asked around here and everyone told me to drop it from the bottom since i have access to a lift. I do have a cherry picker though, and an engine stand.
