I would not recommend that, imo the best thing you can do is get your heads ported and polished and then get your blower ported and polished through somebody like steigmier who knowns what they are doing, not damaging the unit by over spinning it (steigmier explains what options they recommend for rebuilt units and how to pulley them down) and turning into the infamous "heaton". Also the intercooler upgrade is a wise choice - along with the almost required head cooling mod. Doing all of this with an upgraded rear end and DR tires should get you a nice fun cobra, that will last and should make 11 second quarters common place

wooooow... i strongly suggest you ask for advice from the SVT forum.

if you dont have $4000 to spend....
you can "overspin" your blower with a new pulley, tuner, and belt for $450... this will hold you over until you wanna get the Steig port. (not a bad idea at all though... they do a good job and its 75hp, but its over 2k when its all said and done with the whole supporting cast.... + install if its over your head.)

Take care of you IRS and suspension before anything. Do the brace and full bushings. Dont worry about making a ton of power, because what the good if you make all this power n you cant put it to the ground. It sounds to me that you should have done alot more research about cobras before you bought one.

Do not forget about the head cooling mod! I have read in numerous places that the IRS brace and head cooling should be the first things done....
