Exclamation TR3650 sensor or speed cal problem HELP!!!

So my speedometer works periodically. when I go to slow down or stop my speedometer drops to zero before I even come to a complete stop. Example I could go from 45mph to say 30 and the speedometer will read zero, and then speedometer wont work anymore.

I installed a toggle switch to the speedcal in case it malfunctions so I could cycle the power to it. Sometimes that fixes it and other times it doesnt. Basically my speedometer could work for roughly 30 miles and then it starts to act up.

Is it possible to put a T45 speed sensor in a TR-3650?

I checked all of my wiring and checked the instructions and I have everything wired correctly, and I even pulled apart the connections and sprayed electric contact cleaner in the connectors and reconnected it. I also added a dab of silicone to the connectors where the wires go in through the rubber insulator.

Any recommendations are welcome. I just want to get this problem fixed, or should I throw out the stock cluster and put all autometer gauges in it and hope that my speedometer will stay working.
