Clutch Prob/Weird Noise.. HELLLP
Hey guys,
I have an 04 5spd GT with about 52k on it. We've owned it since it was new, and its been flawless so far. I have a problem now though.. my clutch pedal feels about as normal as usual when I press it in, whether the car is on or off, but its making a really weird noise now when the car is on and I press it. I thought it was my exhaust leak at first, but I know its not.. It's almost like a whine/chatter that comes when the clutch is pressed in. I don't hear it when im in neutral or in gear, and it goes away when I get off of the clutch.. any ideas? Clutch cable, disk, flywheel? Tranny seems normal, I changed the oil with Royal Purp Synth at like 30k. Oh btw its never been to a track, nothing stickier than a 315 Gs-D3 out back.. I baby it normally but I do quickshift the **** out of it when I mess around on the street lol.
Thanks,
Shawn

Blah thanks guys, I forgot about that little problem our cars seem to develop lol.. What do you guys recommend to replace/upgrade? Like no more than a stage 2 for around the streets, do I need to/should I get a better flywheel? anything else?
Thanks,
Shawn

I would say if you have the money do the clutch and flywheel. But if you are doing it yourself u can just check your flywheel for heat marks and if you have a micrometer check for out of roundness or variances in thickness. I have a spec stage 2 that i like alot and have had for about 40k miles. If you get an aftermarket clutch i suggest getting a steeda quadrant and adjuster to go with it. They should be about 50$ a piece.
