Question Manual Swapping 2001 GT

Hi there! I currently have a 2001 Automatic Mustang GT, for the fun of it with summer rolling around I thought I would try and take a go at manual swapping the car. Now I've heard and know a good amount of the things I will need such as a new driveshaft, ECU, obviously the pedal, and what not and I've seen a few kits on eBay that roll around the $1500 mark. Now i'm currently a 17 year old student so that type of money is not in question and I was hoping to have a working manual transmission in under $600 because I know the junkyard is clutch. I just wanted to hear your stories and experiences if any of you have swapped your 99-04 GT and let me know what I can hope for realistically and what to look out for. Thanks!
