Transmission issues
Hi, I recently had pulled my motor and tranny from my car to fix some strut rust. Along with fixing the rust I did some maintenance on the motor and tranny. I needed to put in a new power steering pump and I changed several fluids including power steering, oil, brake, and dropped the transmission pan to change that fluid and filter. I did not empty the converter. I also swapped out both u joints. Everything went good and I was ready to reinstall transmission and motor. Everything during reinstall seemed to go good as well but upon initial start up I received a flashing o/d off light and was given three touble codes. P07043, P0750, P0755. Everything was good before I had taken the motor out but I had to fix the rust and I figured why not do some maintenance. Has anyone had experience or similar instances that could possibly be of help to me.
What kind of fluid did you put back into the transmission? Hopefully not a universal tranny fluid...
If you removed the engine and tranny, and these codes appear to be electrical in nature, start by reviewing/tracing wire harness that goes from the transmission to the PCM/ECM. Check for kinked, broken, or pinched wires.
if that all looks fine the solenoid wires or solenoids themselves may need review/repair/replacement.
