I'm in the process of putting a full cobra trunk and deck lid on my 03 gt. My problem is the wiring harness that comes from the cobra trunk has a 2 plug outlet thing. And the same wiring harnes on my gt has 4. so my question is how do i get these to be compatiable. Do i have to buy a different outlet for the cobra harness? Also what does the 2 extra wires on the stock GT harness do??

What do you mean by 2 plug outlet? man don't scare me cause I just bought an 04 cobra spoiler for my 04 GT and I heard the brakelight wiring is different...now I could have cut and spliced and etc but I just paid $62 for a complete cobra trunklid harness...

 

I think the part number is 2R3Z-19B516-BA. Good look.

 

First things first 99 redmsutang I am a diehard mets fan so glad to see a little mets love on the forums.

second the wiring is apparently different. I am on my way to ford to get a new brakelight sense the one that came with that cobra trunk is cracked and ill have to ask them how to get it to work.

 

Thats the one I just ordered and I have it with me now. But I think the OP just said this wiring won't connect to the GT
